Frequently Asked Questions

Before you became the true chainologist, please feel free to contact us if this FAQ doesn't address your concern or question.

We work with two main types of stones:

  • Lab-Grown Gemstones: Engineered stones with the same crystal structure and core optical behaviour as their natural counterparts, but grown by humans in a lab. They are classified as synthetic gemstones in Gemology, not imitation, and are always labelled as lab-grown in our product descriptions.
  • Natural Raw Minerals: Uncut mineral specimens whose geometry and texture come directly from the earth.

Our principle is material honesty: we do not hide lab-grown stones behind vague wording, and we do not sell plastic, resin, or random “mystery stones” as gemstones. Each piece clearly states whether the stone is lab-grown or natural, so you know exactly what you are wearing.

We work mainly with solid 14K gold and 925 sterling silver. However, everyone’s skin is different. If you have a history of severe metal allergies, please consult your dermatologist and reach out to us before ordering so we can advise on the safest options.

All orders ship from our studio in the Netherlands. Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on destination and service. As a general guide:

  • Within the EU: usually 2–7 business days after dispatch.
  • Outside the EU: usually 7–21 business days, depending on local customs and carrier performance.

You will receive a tracking link as soon as your parcel is on its way.

Within the European Union (EU)
Yes. For orders shipped from our studio in the Netherlands to customers within the EU, VAT is included in the price you see at checkout. You will not be asked to pay additional tax when your parcel is delivered.

Outside the European Union (EU)
For orders shipped outside of the European Union, VAT and any import charges are generally handled by your local customs and the local delivery carrier.

  • In many cases, you may be asked to pay the import VAT and handling fee before the parcel is released for final delivery.
  • These charges are set by local tax authorities and carriers, not by us, and are not always included in the price you see on our website.

If you’re unsure about how your country handles VAT or import fees, we recommend checking local customs guidance before placing your order.

You can request a return within a limited window 14 days from the date your order is delivered, as long as the piece is unworn, in original condition, and with all packaging intact. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty.

If your order arrives damaged, please photograph the outer box, inner packaging, and the piece itself within 24 hours of delivery and contact us with your order number. We will assess and, where possible, repair, replace, or refund.

If a parcel appears to be lost in transit, we will open an investigation with the carrier. Once the loss is confirmed, we will either resend the item (if still available) or issue a refund back to you.

We accept major credit and debit cards and selected local payment options shown at checkout. Payments are processed by certified third-party providers over encrypted connections (SSL). We never see or store your full card details on our servers.

Sustainability for us is about material choices and longevity, not just slogans:

  • We use lab-grown gemstones in much of our coloured stone line to reduce the impact of traditional mining while keeping true optical properties.
  • We work with durable precious metals and engineered settings so pieces can be worn for years, not discarded after a season.
  • Many designs are produced in small batches or made-to-order, helping to avoid overproduction.
  • Packaging is kept minimal and recyclable wherever possible.

We are continuously refining sourcing and production to reduce waste and improve traceability.

You can reach us via the contact form on this website or through the email and social channels listed on our contact page. We aim to respond within 1–2 business days, and usually sooner during working hours in Central European Time.

Not yet, we're online-only for now. But don't worry, we're fully registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK). We're always on the lookout for pop-up opportunities, and we'll let you know when something's happening. A physical store? That's the dream for the near future. Can't wait to meet you all in person someday!
