Frequently Asked Questions
This FAQ should cover most of what a true chainologist would want to know. If it doesn't answer your question, reach out anytime, we'll pick up from there.
Lab-Grown Gemstones are grown in a controlled environment rather than mined from the earth, but share the same essential crystal structure and optical properties as their natural counterparts. Gemology classifies them as synthetic gemstones, not imitations, and every lab-grown stone is labelled as such in our product descriptions - no exceptions.
A limited number of natural raw minerals are uncut specimens left in their original geometry and texture, shaped by geological time rather than by us.
Material honesty is a standing principle, not a marketing line: we don't disguise a lab-grown stone behind vague wording, and we don't sell plastic, resin, or unnamed "mystery stones" as gemstones. Every piece states plainly whether its stone is lab-grown or natural, so you always know what you're wearing.
Most of our pieces are solid 14K gold or 925 sterling silver, and skin reacts to metal differently from person to person. If you have a history of severe metal allergies, talk to your dermatologist and let us know before you order, we can advise on what to avoid.
All orders ship from our studio in the Netherlands. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout, based on destination and delivery service.
As a general guide, once a parcel is dispatched: within the EU, delivery usually takes 2–7 business days. Outside the EU, it usually takes 7–21 business days, depending on local customs and carrier handling. Import duties or taxes, where applicable, are the receiver's responsibility and aren't included in the shipping cost.
You'll receive a tracking link as soon as your order ships.
Within the European Union (EU)
Yes! orders shipped from our studio in the Netherlands to EU addresses already include VAT in the checkout price. You won't be asked to pay anything extra when your parcel arrives.
Outside the European Union (EU)
For orders shipped outside the EU, VAT and import charges are handled by local customs and the delivery carrier, not by us.
- In many cases, you'll be asked to pay import VAT and a handling fee before the parcel is released for final delivery.
- These charges are set by local tax authorities and carriers. They vary by country and aren't included in the price shown on our website.
Since the amount depends entirely on your country's rules, we can't calculate it in advance — check your local customs guidance before ordering if you want to know the cost ahead of time.
You can request a return within 14 days of delivery, as long as the piece is unworn, in its original condition, and returned with all original packaging. Return shipping is at your cost, unless the item arrived faulty — in that case, we cover it.
If your order arrives damaged, photograph the outer box, inner packaging, and the piece itself within 24 hours of delivery, then contact us with your order number. We'll review the images and arrange a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on what's possible for that piece.
If a parcel seems lost in transit, we'll open an investigation with the carrier. Once the loss is confirmed, we'll either resend the item, if it's still available, or issue a refund.
We accept major credit and debit cards, along with local payment options shown at checkout. Payments are processed by certified third-party providers over encrypted (SSL) connections, and we never see or store your full card details on our servers.
For us, sustainability means material choices and longevity.
- Lab-grown gemstones make up much of our coloured stone line - grown rather than mined, so no excavation is required, while keeping the same crystal structure and optical properties as their natural counterparts.
- We build with durable precious metals and settings engineered to last, so pieces are made to be worn for years, not discarded after a season.
- Many designs are produced in small batches or made-to-order, which avoids overproduction.
- Packaging is kept minimal and recyclable wherever possible.
You can reach us through the contact form on this site, or the email and social channels listed on our contact page. We aim to reply within 1–2 business days, usually sooner during working hours (Central European Time).
Not yet, we're online-only for now, though we're fully registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK). We do pop-ups when the right opportunity comes along, and we'll share it here once something's confirmed. A physical space is something we're working toward, we'd like to meet you in person one day.
